Hello, I'm Daniel

I am a psychotherapist, facilitator and speaker, but the thread through all my work is simpler than any job title, I am curious about people.

What brings me to this work

I am interested in how our experiences shape us. Why we sometimes repeat patterns that no longer help. How we relate to others. And what becomes possible when we feel able to look at ourselves with honesty and compassion.

I believe meaningful change begins with connection, with ourselves, with others and with what matters most.

How I work

I will not sit opposite you with a ready-made answer about who you should be. My role is to listen, ask useful questions and create a space where you can explore without judgement.

Sometimes that means being gently challenged. The work may not always be comfortable, but it should be grounded in trust, respect and honesty.

More than one way in

Psychotherapy is the foundation of my practice.

I also work with groups, facilitate programmes and workshops, and explore the part imagination can play in understanding ourselves.

My wider experience includes business, leadership, communication and public speaking. Those experiences have taught me how much we can learn through conversation and through being with other people.

I created Nodding Dog to make room for those conversations beyond the therapy room. It is a place to listen to stories and ideas from people in many walks of life.

Where to begin

You may know exactly what you want to explore or simply that something needs attention, either is enough for a first conversation.

A free 15-minute chat is an opportunity to ask questions and see whether working together feels right. There is no obligation, and it is not a therapy session.
