Counselling
I am a Solution Focused Counsellor – This means two things; One I work with you in the ‘here and now’ and we are both mindful that you entered therapy for a reason, we keep that reason in mind and it remains in-focus in our work together.
Other issues can and will arise and we will make these all conscious. Two, I don’t want to keep you in therapy longer than you need or want to be so once the work is complete, we will both know. We can then work towards a successful completion and an even more rewarding ending to our therapeutic alliance.
My approach
Working with clients ‘in the here and now’ I believe that all our behaviours and life challenges that impact us can be traced back to our childhood or our family of origin.
Therapy with me is about looking how you are impacted now in your life and how we can heal that aspect of yourself and then re-integrate it into your own sense of wholeness, so you can be your true authentic self. I tailor your therapy for what you need and what you need right now, so I don’t rely on one style, or have one theory. Instead, I have a tool kit of approaches, theories, styles so working with me I select the best tools with the best of intentions that I feel would benefit you.
I can carry on writing and writing but sometimes to really know if this is right for you is to book a session and after one session you will intuitively know if this is right for you!
Before you book
Let me share a truth about entering therapy and knowing if it’s right: Like In any new relationship ‘trust’ must be built from the ground up. The challenge of building from the ground-up is it takes ‘time.’
I always get the same question from all new clients “so how many sessions do you think I need?” The honest answer is its all-around trust, the longer it takes for you to feel safe and for us to build that trust, the longer it takes to really get stuck into the work.
However therapy is not a sprint, it’s a combination of a walk, jog, run and even sometimes standing still so it takes as long as it takes.

Price per session
£75.00- 50 mins per session
- All fees need to be paid in advanced or at the point of booking.
- If you need to re-arrange or cancel your appointment, no problem however I do require 48 hours' notice.
- Should you cancel/re-arrange without 48 hours notice you will be charged in full for that session.
